I'm starting to get the juices flowing for an eventual Talentopoly mobile site and articles like this one really inspire me to do it. I like the idea of designing one site that is responsive to the screen size rather than doing a separate mobile site.

Has anyone played with doing responsive design?

I haven't (I'm not much of a deep web developer myself, beyond standard CSS and HTML). A great example of a responsive, though, is WooThemes new SupportPress theme/app.

Also, I haven't read it yet, but A Book Apart's Responsive Web Design book is likely a great resource for learning more about responsive web design if their other books are any indicator - http://www.abookapart.com/products/responsive-web-design.
