JIT (JavaScript) InfoVis Toolkit is a robust library designed for the rendering of complex data sets. These renderings are interactive and some really incredible actions can be taken by the end user. The Demos page is worth a look if you are at all interested in rendering things like file systems, complex network graphs or trees (hierarchies) of data. The library is free to use and continues to be contributed to on GitHub.
