PayPal programmers aren't dog-fooding. Even though his remarks are being criticized, he is correct. If they won't use the apps they are writing, they should leave.
I'm also bewildered by this article. I think the only app I never dog-fooded was an especially complex one for niche hedge fund managers. Really, the developers weren't even curious how their work product fared in a real-life scenario?!
Thats my thinking, and if that's the case, PayPal does not have the right developers for the job.
